The BE Side Organzation
OUR HISTORY
Founded in 2023, The BE Side Organization emerged from a powerful confluence of an online community, shared ambition, and a desire to give back. Its roots lie in a 2022 gathering in Baltimore, Maryland, where performers from a live streaming platform along with local DJs united with a singular vision: to transform an informal meetup into a force for positive change within their community and beyond.
This initial event, orchestrated by DJ. Shannell B. and a collective of passionate moderators and volunteers, transcended the typical social gathering. It was a “meetup with a purpose,” meticulously designed to champion the advancement of performers primarily operating within the online streaming or Baltimore area realm. Further solidifying its commitment to the greater good, the event incorporated a music festival element, simultaneously raising awareness for breast cancer prevention and honoring the memory of a loved one lost. The resounding success of this inaugural event laid the foundation for what would become The BE Side non profit organization.
Inspired by the impact they had collectively achieved, the core team recognized the potential to solidify their efforts and create a lasting legacy. They coalesced around five core principles that would guide the organization’s future endeavors:
- Well-being: Prioritizing the mental and physical health of performers and community members.
- Awareness: Raising consciousness about important social issues, particularly health-related causes.
- Advancement: Empowering and supporting the professional growth of artists, especially in the digital space.
- Youth Collaboration: Fostering engagement and mentorship opportunities for young people within the arts and entertainment industry.
- Scholarship: Providing educational opportunities and resources to aspiring individuals.
Armed with these guiding principles, The BE Side Organization officially came into being on January 20th, 2023. The organization has cultivated a dynamic presence, extending its reach far beyond its Baltimore origins. Over the past years, The BE Side Organization has orchestrated a diverse range of events, both virtual and in-person, in locations spanning Maryland, Los Angeles, New York, and even internationally.
These events serve as platforms for showcasing talent, promoting the organization’s core principles, and fostering a strong sense of community among its members. From intimate workshops to large-scale festivals,The BE Side Organization continuously seeks innovative ways to uplift performers, raise awareness for crucial causes, and provide meaningful support to its growing membership.

Well-being Events: Deliver music wellness activities to enhance the lives of both our members and the public.
Advancement: Provide professional development opportunities for members to excel in their careers within the creative arts. Support affiliated members by promoting their events and facilitating valuable networking opportunities.
Awareness: Extend outreach support to non-profit organizations and communities in need through performances and creative arts initiatives.
Youth Collaborations: Provide performing arts instruction to students ages 3-18 through public performances and workshops.
Scholarships: Offer scholarships to deserving individuals pursuing careers in the performing arts.

To allow people who love performing to explore new projects in various fields, obtain job placement and enhance their well being through music advancement, scholarships, Well Being, Awareness and Youth Collaborations.
